VANGUARD Hybrid MACH6 Pickleball Paddle The VANGUARD Hybrid Mach6 Pickleball Paddle is a top quality option for players coming from the world of tennis or those who simply prefer a racquet-like feel. The squared off face and extra long length allow for impressive reach, double-handed backhands and plenty of quick action so that you can respond to any shot in a flash. The versatile design is powerful so you can put away pickleballs but controlled enough for volleys at the net. The slightly smaller face (measured in square inches) results in one of the most aerodynamic paddles we’ve seen from Selkirk. The smaller face gives you fantastic balance and hand speed, but is large enough for great defensive postures and gives more space to that much longer handle. The VANGUARD Hybrid Mach6 Pickleball Paddle absorbs shock thanks to the X5 poly core but also offers a gentle touch. Each side of the face uses two layers of bi-directional carbon fiber that allow every inch of the paddle to feel reactive. The edge guard has a low profile to help avoid mis-hits while the tacky grip absorbs moisture. It has two weight ranges, light at 7.6 – 7.9 oz and midweight at 7.8 – 8.3 oz.
